The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has launched the second version of its CSR/Sustainability Report award initiative in which the readers compose the jury. KPMG is one of the partners in this initiative, thus we would like to invite you and your clients and contacts to join in.
The number of organizations reporting on their economic, environmental and social performance has reached a record high - thousands of sustainability reports are now issued each year. The number of people using these reports to gain data on organizations is growing too, but what do you, the readers, think of the reports that are out there? The Readers' Choice Awards and Survey provides you - report readers - with the opportunity to have your say.
By taking part you will influence the future of sustainability reporting and improve the way organizations communicate information on their economic, environmental and social performance.
Leading sustainability reporting trend monitors KPMG and SustainAbility will analyze the survey results and compile them into a report on sustainability reporting. This will be launched at the Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency held 26-28th May 2010. The Readers' Choice Awards will be presented at a gala ceremony during the conference.
How you can participate
- register online and follow the instructions given.
- click on the appropriate link according to whether you are a reader or a CSR Report Author (reporter) Please note, that only one person within the company can be designated as "reporter", the GRI will follow a set procedure for this validation)
- vote until the 27th of January on the reports you recognize the best
- from the 4th of February to the 4th of March you can select additional report from the shortlist (those reports that have received major recognition during the previous round)
- The winners will be announced during the Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency, which will take place in Amsterdam from the 26th to the 28th of May 2010.
